Russian Dolls Painting- Matryoshkas comes in a huge variety of different subjects. Often these matryoshkas reflects Russian life and traditions. The first traditional nesting dolls were produced in Sergiev Posad, Semionovo, Polkhov Maidan villages.
This Christmas OWL & LION has specially commission experienced Russian Artist Elena Tsyplakova to introduce you to the traditional art of Russian doll painting. Elena graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art 06 and has run a series of successful workshops in Russian Crafts in Edinburgh and the UK. Study the traditional techniques of this Slavic craft or create your own modern-day characters within its unique style.
We shall have one special workshops only in November maximum of 10 Children per session. Children shall finished painting a set of 5-7 Dolls to take home in time for Christmas!
