Bring along a picture of a bag you admire, using this design as a starting point, you will learn how to draft a pattern and make a bag using your own choice of fabric. The weekend shall cover individual and creative design, basic sewing construction and fittings like straps, flaps and pockets.
In this workshop you will learn to
- Produce an individual design
- Create a practical, stylish and unique bag
Your Tutor shall conduct an optional trip for fabric shopping and visiting various fabric shops in the city. This shall take place on Saturday 29th during lunch break.
All lining materials, sewing notions and tools and provided. Please bring 1M of fabric to make into a bag.
These workshops are designed to offer high quality tuition in a relaxed and friendly setting. Ideas can be discussed and projects undertaken gradually at the pace of the student. The small group size and informal atmosphere means that you can learn both from individual tuition and from watching, and discussing with, the other students.
